Charles Roussel
Charles Roussel, 1861-1936, member of the Cornet Society from 1920, can be attributed with two menu illustrations for the Cornet Society. Although Roussel was a gifted and vibrant artist, if not for his illustrating the monumental 300th dinner menu, he would be lost in the cracks of history. Accompanying the menu was Wague’s annotated chronological list that, for the first time, listed all the presidents, menu artists, authors of the presidents’ biographies and restaurants where the dinners were held.
