Ferdinand Mifliez (Misti)

Ferdinand Mifliez or Misti, 1865-1922, a member of the Cornetfrom 1906 until his death. Misti changed his name from Mifliez to Misti after graduating from the School of Decorative Arts, an art deco school, in 1888. Charles Pechard tells us in his May 1914 Le Cornet biography of Misti that he was a passionate man who was driven in areas even beyond his art, as he was also a talented composer and pianist. Misti was primarily known as an engraver, lithographer and illustrator of his favorite theme, beautiful Parisian women. Two of his most famous works are included in Les Maitres se L’Affiche. Misti designed 10 cornet menu illustrations between 1908 and 1922.
